Meatspace addresses for ebooks… what the heck?

This site sells ebooks. You download them. I won’t physically mail them, let alone bring them to your house. Why the heck do I request your address and phone number in the checkout process?

Because the software I use (WooCommerce) asks for it, and I’m not maintaining local patches.

Because a small portion of my orders includes print sponsorships, and those folks do get mail from me.

If you won’t get meatspace mail from me, I don’t care what your address says. I only care that your payment goes through.

If you need an invoice for business or tax purposes, use your correct address. You can print invoices from your account.
